Life on a farm is never dull and this week was true to form. We added a calf to our hospital pen- joining "Bunny" the lamb and "Shorty" the pig. These three make quite the trio, all vying for attention, be it a walk or a bottle or just a head scratch. Margo has taken on the responsibility of making bottles and feeding the lamb and the calf. She is a proud mama and always reminds me that it is her job.
Caleb's plate has been VERY full as of late. He finished the mammoth job of moving all of our cattle from one rental property to another, dealing with one issue after another throughout the process. He is also busy moving the remainder of our farm equipment to our new location and then organizing it upon arrival. Add to that prep for orders, deliveries, inventory, everyday farm chores, Farmer's Market prep, emails, and butcher drop offs/pick-ups, he is one busy man. To be honest, he has crashed on the floor or sofa most nights this week, always up and gone before the girls and I rise. I always knew that he was a tenacious worker, but observing him these past 18 months have brought a whole new level of respect for his tireless work ethic. We would both say that we wish he had more downtime, but that is what we are working towards!
Thank you again for supporting us! We could not do what we do without the love and support from our local community!
